What the heck have I been doing this summer?

August 4, 2024

Nothing says “welcome to summer” like packing up your home of 17 years and moving the week before your scheduled vacation. We had four weeks to pack up our home that I often tell people we outgrew two kids ago. A home that welcomed home three of our babies, served as Dexter’s dialysis unit, and was witness to the love our little ( or not so little) family shared. Family movie nights, the spot in the tile that Dexter “fixed” with his hammer, and so many meals shared around the table. We are so thankful for that house that we made a home for all those years.

We have bought Jerred’s grandmas house, and are right in the middle of a remodel. We are really excited for all the updates to be done, but mostly just so excited to spend our life in our forever home. A home that has already seen so much love from Jerred’s grandparents, and the family gatherings that have been held here.

The rest of the summer has been spent with a family beach trip, an alone trip to Orlando for a yearbook workshop, and one last trip for a Jettway performance to Branson. With the remodel in full swing here, it’s pretty much chaos. There is light at the end of the tunnel though, and I think I am almost ready for school season to begin.

Be watching for my Fall Calendar to be released soon!
