my story

There is beauty in the mess of our lives, and I am here for it.

I am a coffee drinking, Jesus loving, multi-tasking Momma. I love slow mornings with an endless cup of coffee, listening to a great audiobook, and long walks at antique stores. I have been married to my high school sweetheart for TWENTY years, and together we have four children. We have a small farm with the cutest goats, and we make a pretty great husband and wife Realtor team. I can honestly say it is never boring at our house.
Motherhood is full of ups and downs, from hair-pulling frustration to heartwarming love in seconds. Don't forget to cherish these fleeting moments amid the chaos. Moms, book a session, put away your phone, and let me capture these precious times with your family.

The beach is our favorite vacation spot. The sun, the sand, and the sound of the waves. There's truly nothing like a relaxing day at the beach.

the beach is calling

In 2015 I donated a kidney to our three year old son Dexter. We found out when he was two weeks old he was in kidney failure. We spent the first three years of his life preparing for transplant with many doctors visits and daily dialysis. He is your typical boy these days!

then...

now.

the gift of love

My favorite way to start my day is a slow morning with an endless cup of coffee.

My favorite coffee shop order- sugar free iced caramel macchiato.

coffee is my love language

Alexis McDade Photography is great with kids! Perfect for watching my kids grow up- even my 2 year old who has a mind of his own now.         - The Wright Family

My kids have given Alexis a run for her money on several occasions and she has always responded with patience and humor, and ended up getting some incredible pictures! She was such a blessing to us during the wait and the delivery! She calmed my nerves and captured moments that I will treasure forever.     - The Davises

When it came to our birthing shoot, things did not go as planned, but she was ready and went above just being our photographer. I was rushed for an emergency c-section, and she there within 10 minutes of me notifying her what was going on. She held my hand, kept me calm, and captured our love minutes after his arrival. -  Lisa
